Youth & Adult Figure Skating Skills

Figure Skating Instructional classes provide a fun and safe skating experience and promote physical fitness in a group atmosphere.

Classes are offered to figure skaters from beginner through advanced levels. We offer a variety of progressive skating skills, transitions, spins and jumps — all of which build on the previous skill, providing skaters a strong foundation of all elements. These levels will be taught in a positive and interactive group format. Instructors will focus on quality and mastery of skills.

Core Conditioning

Core strength, stamina, proper warm up and cool down is critical for injury prevention for all on ice athletes. The athletic demands on today’s figure skater’s must be balanced with equal and strategically planned off-ice programming. This class is suitable for skaters Basic 6 and up.

Snoqualmie Stars Training Academy

SSTA is a group training experience for our pre-competition and competitive athletes. This 90 minute circuit class is designed to train skating skills, technique refinement, jumps, spins, and presentation. Each training session will include 60 minutes of on-ice training, followed by 30 minutes of off-ice class. On ice class “pods” will be divided by level and rotate the circuit every 20 minutes, together, between our elite coaching staff. Off-ice programs will be different each week, and will introduce valuable training from ballet, spin class, choreography, conditioning, and more. The peer to peer, community training model is an exciting addition to the Sno-King Snoqualmie programming.
This class is open athletes at the Basic 5 level – Senior level. (Below Basic 5 must have director approval)
