RISING STARS BASIC SKILLS CAMP

Beginners - Learn to Skate Basic 5

June 25-27
9:00 AM - 1:15 PM
Ages 6-17
Sno-King Snoqualmie
Skate rental is included with registration

Join us for a brand NEW, half-day camp, designed specifically for first time skaters thru our Learn to Skate Basic 5 level.

Those brand new to skating will learn elements from our Learn to Skate curriculum and more! If you are already an avid skater, this is a perfect opportunity to learn a new trick, and improve your existing skills!

9:00 AM - Arrival & check in
9:30 AM - 11:30 AM - Rotating skills classes
11:45 AM - 12:30 PM - Group lunch (Lunch is not provided)
12:45 PM - 1:15 PM - Freestyle/Practice time

RISING STARS ADVANCED CAMP
Learn to Skate Basic 6 and up

9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Ages 5-17
Sno-King Snoqualmie

Skaters from the Basic 6 Learn to Skate level, and up, are invited to join our signature camp. Skaters will be split by skill level based on our Snoqualmie Stars Training Academy curriculum. The levels include our NEW "Diamond" level designed to meet the needs of competitive athletes performing double jumps and beyond.

BRONZE
Minimum Level: Basic 6. Must have good quality forward and backward crossovers.

Elements: Advanced 1 foot spin, Introductory development of Waltz Jump, Toe-loop, and
Salchow


SILVER

Minimum Level: Pre- Academy Plus

Elements: Upright “Scratch” Spin, Introductory development of Sit and Camel spins. Mastery of Waltz Jump, toe-loop, and Salchow. Development of Loop and Flip Jump


GOLD

Minimum Level: Freeskate 4

Elements: All Single jumps: Loop, Flip, Lutz. Mastery of all 3 basic spin positions held for 3 revolutions (min) and developmental advancement of difficult variations of spins. Progression toward or has passed pre-preliminary skating skills test or equivalent.


PLATINUM

Minimum level: Passed Pre-Preliminary Skating Skills test. Must have consistent Axel
Jump OR Passed preliminary Skating Skills test or higher.

Elements: Axel refinement, foundations of multi-revolution jumps, flying spins, advanced steps and turns, IJS


DIAMOND

Minimum level: Pre-Juvenile Skating Skills test, 2 consistent double jumps

Elements: Double jump refinement, Combination jumps, IJS Leveled Spins

11:45 AM - 12:30 PM - Group lunch (Lunch is not provided)
12:45 PM - 1:15 PM - Freestyle/Practice time
1:15 AM - 2:30 PM - Class
