As skate patrol, you will be responsible for supervision of public activities to ensure safety practices are followed during public skating times at our arena. You will assist skaters when needed, treat minor injuries, and perform limited janitorial duties.

As the ideal candidate, you will be able to skate well and for extended periods of time. You will have the ability to be calm, courteous, and tactful in a variety of demanding situations and be able to enforce safety rules to ensure safe conditions for public skaters.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming phone calls
  • Provide excellent customer service to all
  • Help guide customers through the registration app
  • Check skaters in for events and verify waivers and payment
  • Develop extensive knowledge for all programs
  • Maintain a clean and safe arena
  • Other duties as assigned by the Business Manager

Qualifications:

  • Positive, energetic attitude with good people skills
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Proficient in the use of Windows-based computer program, including Word and Excel
  • Must be able to provide excellent customer service and troubleshoot issues as they occur
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Flexible work schedule-must be available nights, weekends and holidays

The Zamboni Driver is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to operate, install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility and equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the Sno King’s business goals and objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Primary Job Duties

  • Perform a variety of custodial duties.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, ice meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Drive Ice Resurfacer (Zamboni) ensuring quality of ice is maintained to Director of Maintenance standards and training protocol is followed
  • Ensure all Ice cuts are completed safely and on time
  • Edging/Ice maintenance functions as assigned
  • Complete any tasks as assigned
  • Perform skate sharpening and repair on rental skates to ensure sharpness and quality
  • Operate industrial floor scrubbing machine (Floorboni) to maintain clean walkways and locker rooms
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Fill out all ice cut logs, compressor check logs, and shift logs as assigned
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Active Driver’s license
  • Consistency and Punctuality extremely important for shift and ice cut performance
  • Able to consistently communicate respectfully and clearly with customers and staff
  • Must be highly self-motivated and able to work early or late hours independently.

  • Seeking scorekeepers for games at Snoking Snoqualmie and SnoKing Kirkland, with potential for games at SnoKing Renton. No experienced required. Will train as needed.

Applicants must:

  •  Your own transportation to/from games
  • Regular access to internet

Responsibilities

  • Tracking game stats including shots on goal, penalties, goals, assists, etc.
  • Communicating with on-ice officials
  • Game start and end times as well as intermissions
  • Data entry of game to be posted no later than 24 hours after game start
  • In-game announcements and music

Schedule:

  • Min 1 day a week, up to 4 days a week, Sunday through Thursday

  • Sunday games start as early as 3pm, weeknight games typically start after 7pm. Typical shift is 2-3 games, unless otherwise requested.

Qualifications:

  • Current or former USA Hockey Certified Officials, Levels 1-4
  • 10+ years of organized hockey playing experience preferred
